Ambrosini deems Milan embarrassing after Napoli start: “Strong but incapable”

AC Milan could have started something this weekend, but instead were left dead after the opening 20 minutes, something which many have deemed embarrassing.

As football fans, the minimum nine times out of 10 is for effort to be shown, and Milan seemingly lacked that against Napoli this weekend, falling two goals behind in 20 minutes. Perhaps, if there was more fighting spirit shown, it would not be such a crime, but the Rossoneri seemed to give in almost before a ball was even kicked.

There is such a visible lack of application within this squad, and this has left fans frustrated time and time again, and whilst criticism has been present throughout the year, it is now getting harsher from each source of criticism.

Today, Massimo Ambrosini has spoken his mind on the situation when speaking to DAZN, via Calciomercato.com.

“Inexplicable and difficult to give a reason for. The team is strong, but incapable of managing the start of matches. They would have deserved it in light of what they did in the second half, but as long as they were in the match, Napoli played better.”

There is still time for something to be achieved this season, but the window has closed massively, and the task has gotten much more out of reach. A dangerous combination, which leaves everyone needing, and more importantly, desperately wanting more.
