Police issue update on ‘vulnerable’ man missing from Oxford as search continues

In the early hours of this morning (March 8), Thames Valley Police launched an appeal to locate William, whose surname has not been disclosed, who had been missing from Oxford since March 6.
Police said they are “extremely concerned” for the welfare of the 66-year-old, who is described as around 6ft 2ins tall, of light build and has grey hair. He may be wearing jeans, a jumper and a jacket.
This afternoon, the force confirmed that he was seen at around 5pm yesterday (March 7) in the St Giles area.
However, the search to locate William is ongoing.

Detective inspector, Steven Dixon, said: “Efforts have been ongoing to locate William, and we are continuing to appeal for the public’s help.
“We can now confirm he was last seen at around 5pm yesterday evening in St Giles area of Oxford City Centre.
“We would like to thank those members of the public who have already come forward, and we are asking anyone with any further information to please get in touch.
“If you see William please call us on 999 quoting reference 0514 of 7 March.”
